Cornmeal Biscuits

Serve these biscuits with lunch or dinner, or just as a snack.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp parsley flakes
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
Oil, to grease pan

1.  Preheat oven to 425˚F.
2.  In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, parsley flakes. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cheese, milk.
3.  Using a tablespoon, drop the batter onto a greased baking sheet. Use 2 tablespoons to make each biscuit. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.

Yield 12 servings
