Devilled Shrimp

For an exact duplication, purchase a bottle of Chef Peter’s signature hot sauce ($5) at Taste of Sri Lanka.  

16-20 jumbo shrimp
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 large onion, sliced
1 tomato, chopped
1 leek, sliced
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp crushed chiles
1/2 cup Peter’s Hot Sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
salt to taste

1. In a frying pan, sauté onions, peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes and leeks until softened (approx 5 mins).
2. Add remaining ingredients and fry until shrimp is cooked through.

Yield 4 servings
