Gladys Caribbean Peppered Shrimp
2 lbs head-on shrimp
2 Tbsp Rred crushed chili
3 cloves of Garlic
1/4 cup Salt
1 tsp whole allspice berries (pimento Seed)
1/4 cup vinegar
3 sprigs thyme
1 Tbsp butter
1 whole scotch bonnet pepper sliced
1. Bring water, red crushed chilli, vinegar, garlic, salt, pimento and thyme to a boil. Let simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Add head-on shrimp to the pot and cook for 3 minutes. Drain and set shrimp aside.
3. Saute shrimp with remaining red chili pepper and butter on medium heat. Serve!
